And if you’re reading this, you’ve probably seen those photos \u2014 the lakes that look like liquid gemstones, the waterfalls that tumble through autumn forests, the Tibetan prayer flags against snow-dusted peaks. You’ve maybe even done the first thing every American does when they see those photos: open Google and type, “What city is Jiuzhaigou in?”<\/p>\n
Here’s the honest answer \u2014 and the reason I’m writing this.<\/p>\n
\u6280\u8853\u4e0a\u4f86\u8aaa\uff1a Zhangzha Town, Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China.<\/strong><\/p>\n That’s useless to you. Here’s the real answer:<\/p>\n Jiuzhaigou is not in a city. It’s not like saying “Yellowstone is in Wyoming” or “Yosemite is in California.” Those places are national parks with gateway towns nearby.
