No shopping, enjoy the beauty of nature
Jack and Lisa wisely chose a shopping-free tour, knowing that the real travel experience should not be disturbed by the tedious shopping. Unlike trips that are filled with shopping, their trip focused on exploring the natural beauty of Jiuzhaigou and enjoying every close encounter with nature. Of course, there were some “invisible shopping spots” during the trip, such as on the way to Jiuzhaigou, where toilets were often tied to supermarkets or rental services, but these hiccups didn't dampen their good mood. When they dine, although the restaurants will sell some specialties, they see it more as a cultural experience rather than compulsory consumption.
Freedom to travel as they please
For freedom-loving Jack and Lisa, the free-travel option in Jiuzhaigou is equally charming. The Sword Cliff, Swan Sea, and Fangcaohai were beautiful, but due to the long distance and lack of bus rides, they decided to stop only briefly on the way up, so as not to miss the other, more exciting landscapes. They were a bit deterred by the slope of the Changhai, but still summoned up the courage to walk to the observation deck and enjoy the rippling blue lake. The risk of high altitude sickness at the Colorful Pond made them more cautious, but the mysterious color from nature still made them stop and watch.
Norilang Transfer Station, a rest for taste buds and souls
As the only restaurant in the whole scenic area, Norilang Transfer Station became the first choice for Jack and Lisa's lunch. They chose the cost-effective 30 RMB and 45 RMB meals, which were simple but satisfying. After the meal, they took a short break at the restaurant to build up their strength for the next adventure. They also found two hidden viewpoints near the Norilang Waterfall, which was a bit of a tough climb, but the view was definitely the best reward for their efforts.
Homeward Bound and Anticipation
As the sun set, Jack and Lisa finished their day's adventure. On the way back, they shared photos and insights with each other, their hearts filled with infinite fondness for the beauty of Jiuzhaigou.
